Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Demonstrated 3+ years in academic coaching position or equivalent experience.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to helping at risk and underprepared students succeed.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office and data handling.
• Ability to collect, organize, and present data via reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic coaching to students following prescribed best practices.
• Develop and implement a success program for sophomore, junior, and senior students.
• Manage students who leave without completing their degrees to assist them in returning and/or completing their degrees.
• Coordinate group coaching/events/activities with other offices and people in CACS.
• Support student engagement software such as Smitty On.
• May teach 3 credits each academic year (usually FYS in Fall).
• Organize the Annual Spring Career Fair with other departments.
• Serve as main point person for Handshake tool.
• Work with offices and employees within and outside CACS.
• Collect and analyze data to make data-informed decisions.
• Submit reports including annual academic coaching report.
• Meet regularly with leader to communicate progress and participate in development.
• Communicate with Deans and CACS leadership on a schedule.
• Participate in software/technology implementations and campus events.
