Job summary

Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC seeks an Academic Success Advisor (TUG Focus) to mentor and coach undergraduate students. You will serve as primary advisor for a caseload and collaborate with GW Online learners and Student-Athletes to support holistic student success.

Responsibilities include advising on degree requirements, course selection, registration, and proactive interventions for at-risk students.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in education or a related field is required.
1-2 years of related work or training is preferred.
Experience as a student peer mentor or advising assistant is a plus.

Responsibilities

Advises program requirements, course selection, and registration procedures for undergraduates.
Provides academic coaching to develop learning strategies and study skills.
Contacts and intervenes with students at risk due to absences or low grades.
Assists with academic warning processes and monitors registration each semester.
Serve as designated advisor for GW Online distance learners and Student-Athletes.
Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and address unpaid balances.
Refer students to appropriate academic staff and coordinate with resources.
