Qualifications

• Knowledge of academic advising and counselling required or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with personal computers and standard office software.
• Ability to perform light physical tasks up to 20 pounds may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Advise students on curricula, class loads, and course changes.
• Provide general advisory and vocational information to students.
• Assist in administering advising programs for special student groups.
• Participate in staff meetings and university committees.
• Adhere to NCAA, MAC, and EMU policies and procedures where applicable.
• Perform related departmental duties as required.
