Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System Olathe Campus and the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center seek an academic spine surgeon to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with a broad range of spinal conditions, collaborating with orthopedic spine surgeons, neurologists, pain management specialists and others.

The role emphasizes teaching, research and service within a multidisciplinary environment,

Qualifications

• MD, DO or equivalent required to practice in surgical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in teaching Neurosurgery to clinical staff, medical students and residents including didactic lectures, shadowing experiences, inclusion on service activities, or involvement in research activities.
• Dedicate 90% of time to active clinical practice in the Neurosurgery Department.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams, research groups, academic programs, and institutional partners to support patient care, program development, innovation, and scholarly activity.
• Serve on Neurosurgery departmental committees.
