Job summary

Acadence Pinnacle seeks a detail-oriented academic writer to conduct literature searches, develop high-quality research content, and manage manuscripts across papers, theses, reviews, and synopses. You will ensure rigorous citation and formatting and tailor content to project requirements, deadlines, and client instructions.

Responsibilities include producing research papers, reviews, and dissertations, interpreting findings, maintaining confidentiality, and communicating with the team

Qualifications

  • Strong academic research and writing skills.
  • Master's degree, PhD, M.Phil., or Bachelor's degree with relevant research/writing experience preferred.
  • Strong command of English language, academic writing and research documentation.
  • Ability to conduct literature searches and work with research papers, journals and credible academic sources.
  • Good understanding of research methodology, literature review and academic referencing.
  • Experience in preparing research papers, review papers, thesis/dissertation, synopsis, manuscripts or other academic projects will be an advantage.
  • Candidates with expertise in one or more specific disciplines are preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Good knowledge of referencing styles such as APA, MLA, Harvard, Vancouver, Chrome, etc.
  • Ability to understand detailed project requirements and follow instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and consistently meet agreed deadlines.
  • Candidates with prior academic, research, scientific or publication-related writing experience will be preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature searches and research using credible academic sources.
  • Prepare high-quality academic and research-oriented content based on project requirements.
  • Work on research papers, review papers, thesis/dissertation chapters, synopsis, literature reviews, manuscripts, and related academic projects.
  • Understand research objectives, questions, methodology, and subject-specific requirements before starting an assignment.
  • Analyse, interpret, and synthesize information from relevant academic literature.
  • Ensure proper citation, referencing, formatting, and academic writing standards as required for each project.
  • Use referencing styles such as APA, MLA, Harvard, Vancouver, Chicago, etc.
  • Maintain accuracy, originality, consistency, and clarity in all assigned work.
  • Follow project-specific instructions, formatting guidelines, word counts, and deadlines.
  • Review and proofread work before submission to ensure quality and minimise errors.
  • Incorporate client/project feedback and complete revisions within the agreed timeline.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client information, research material, and project details.
  • Communicate clearly with the team regarding project requirements, progress, timelines, and any challenges.
  • Handle multiple assignments efficiently while maintaining consistent quality and timely delivery.
  • Stay updated with relevant research practices, academic standards, and developments within the writer's area of expertise.
