The USC Keck School of Medicine - Alzheimer Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI) in San Diego is seeking an Assistant Research Administrator to support the Finance Department in an academic finance capacity. Responsibilities include budgeting, proposals, and collaboration with investigators and the Office of Sponsored Research.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of related experience, with strong data reporting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in research administration or related field.
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepare routine proposals within sponsored and non-sponsored guidelines.
• Develop, prepare and finalize project budgets.
• Serve as liaison between principal investigators, Office of Sponsored Research and other departments.
• Collaborate with ORS to ensure awards are set up properly.
• Review terms of sponsored projects and monitor post-award spending and reports.
• Assist with contract closeout and audit inquiries.
• Coordinate events related to sponsored projects and participate in process improvements.
