University of Central Florida College of Medicine (UCF COM) seeks an experienced psychiatrist at the non-tenure track rank of assistant, associate, or professor to lead medical education and provide outpatient psychiatric care at UCF Health Faculty Practice.

The role emphasizes teaching psychopathology, psychopharmacology, and medical interviewing to MD students, with duties spanning UME, GME, and residency mentorship, plus scholarly activity for academic advancement.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited institution.
• Eligible for licensure or licensed to practice in Florida.
• Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology within 2 years.
• Experience teaching medical students and residents in LCME/ACGME accredited programs.

Responsibilities

• Teach psychopathology, psychopharmacology, and fundamentals of medical interviewing to first- and second-year medical students.
• Serve as discipline lead for the Integrated Sciences 4 module focusing on pre-clinical psychiatry and neurology.
• Teach psychiatry didactics in the 3rd year clerkship and assist with mid-clerkship evaluations.
• Provide outpatient psychiatric care at UCF Health Faculty Practice as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Mentor residents and collaborate with basic science and clinical faculty to integrate psychiatry concepts.
• Engage in scholarly activities to fulfill criteria for academic advancement.
