Job summary

Anne Arundel County Public Schools seeks a Specialist: Academic 10 Month to plan, oversee, and lead program/content projects aligned to the AACPS Strategic Plan. The role supports assessment, curriculum, data analysis, instruction, and professional learning for stakeholders in coordination with the content/program supervisor.

The position requires experience with standards-based programming, teacher capacity building, and collaboration across departments to ensure equitable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in related field of education from a regionally accredited institution.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable to prepare for duties.

Responsibilities

• Communicate AACPS’s mission, goals, and expectations for assessment, curriculum, and instruction to staff and community.
• Plan and lead program/content projects from ideation to completion.
• Review and implement research-based, standards-aligned programming for mastery of students.
• Collaborate with school leaders to enhance teacher capacity and planning.
• Analyze multiple measures of student achievement to evaluate program effectiveness and adjust resources.
