Job summary

Obsidian Solutions Group is seeking an Academics Manager at the MISTC site to oversee all academic training schedules, POIs, and instructor development. The role ensures TECOM directives are followed and training is aligned with Marine Corps readiness.

You will coordinate with the Site Director, manage instructor certification progression, and provide academic oversight across classroom, field, and exercise environments, including travel as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent military training.
• Experience in academic management, training administration, or instructional leadership in military/higher-education settings.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Marine Corps training directives, POI management, and curriculum execution.
• Certifications: Marine Corps Instructor Certification or equivalent; PMP/ISD/MTS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage scheduling, coordination, and execution of all academic courses and events at the MISTC site.
• Ensure POIs are executed per TECOM directives, orders, and SOPs.
• Serve as the primary academic representative for the Academic Officer at the site.
• Oversee Instructor Certification Process and monitor progress to TECOM standards.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to instructors through certification.
• Coordinate with instructors and site leadership to ensure training resources, classrooms, and facilities support training objectives.
• Track, document, and report academic performance metrics to the Academic Officer and Site Director.
• Support curriculum reviews, POI updates, and training refinements based on AARs and feedback.
• Ensure training events align with USMC MAGTF mission readiness requirements and academic standards.
