Job summary

The University of North Carolina is seeking a full-time academic plastic surgeon to join the Division of Plastic Surgery with a focus on general plastic surgery, especially breast. Fellowship-trained applicants are encouraged to apply, but not required.

The role includes clinical care, teaching medical students and residents, and participation in research. Open-rank, open-track appointment between 0.5 FTE and 1.0 FTE with potential leadership opportunities based on current needs; collaboration

Qualifications

• Completed or near completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in plastic surgery.
• Board certification in plastic surgery or in process of certification.
• Interest in oncologic reconstruction and maintaining high-quality clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Provide general plastic surgery services with emphasis on breast and related procedures.
• Participate in education of medical students, residents and fellows.
• Contribute to clinical outcomes, health services or translational research.
