Temple Health is seeking a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon to join its growing academic program in Philadelphia. The role emphasizes clinical care across reconstructive spectrum with emphasis on microsurgery and breast/gender surgery as pluses, and teaching medical students, residents and fellows.

The successful candidate will work with residents, join a teaching faculty and participate in educational activities while pursuing scholarly clinical research within a supportive academic

Qualifications

• MD/DO or foreign equivalent with board certification or eligibility in plastic surgery.
• Completion of an accredited plastic and reconstructive surgery training program.
• Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Academic potential with ability to join teaching faculty at the Assistant Professor level.
• Strong commitment to clinical excellence, education and academic development.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for plastic surgery patients and participate in teaching of students, residents and fellows.
• Develop a focused area of clinical and academic expertise with mentorship from experienced faculty.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Department of Surgery and Temple Health
• Contribute to research and scholarly activities aligned with division priorities.

Education

MD/DO or foreign equivalent

Board Certification or Board Eligibility - ABPS

Completion of an accredited Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery training program

Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in Pennsylvania

Experience/credentials for faculty appointment (Assistant Professor)
