West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department ofMedicine seeks a Palliative Care Physician (ranks available:Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). Thesuccessful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown,WV.
Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also beassigned to provide services at additional worksites in WestVirginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travelwould be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at theseadditional sites.
The Section of Geriatrics, Palliative Medicine and Hospice at WVU has the main mission to advance health care and quality of life forolder people and those with serious illnesses.
Our Palliative Medicine and Hospice team provides patient andfamily centered care that offers quality of life for patients withlife limiting illnesses by anticipating, preventing, and treatingsuffering. Inpatient and outpatient services are provided,including local nursing homes.
