Job summary

Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD) in Norfolk, VA, seeks a BC/BE General Academic Pediatrician to join its established outpatient team. The role combines outpatient clinical work with academic teaching for EVMS and residents, within the new CHKD pavilion.

The physician will care for medically complex pediatric patients, attend educational conferences, and participate in the EVMS faculty appointment, with a balanced schedule of 4 clinic days and 1 remote admin day.

Qualifications

• BC/BE General Academic Pediatrician required.
• Academic teaching responsibilities with residents and medical students.
• Outpatient practice focused on medically complex pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Teach EVMS students and pediatric residents.
• See approximately 20–24 patients daily, including chronic and medically complex cases.
• Work 4 clinical days per week with 1 remote administrative day and no inpatient duties.
• Take call approximately 6–7 weeks per year with nursing triage as first contact.
