Job summary

The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery, Section of Pediatric Surgery, is recruiting full-time faculty members at any rank to strengthen patient care and education at Comer Children's Hospital and affiliated sites.

Appointees will participate in inpatient and outpatient services, teach residents and students, and contribute to scholarly activity. Compensation is dependent on qualifications and rank; benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Must have a medical doctorate or equivalent.
• Hold or be eligible for medical licensure in Illinois.
• Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Surgery (or equivalent) in Pediatric Surgery.
• Have completed an accredited fellowship and/or equivalent training in Pediatric Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient patient care to support the Pediatric Surgery program.
• Contribute to teaching of residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Engage in scholarly activities and departmental education.
