Job summary

Albany Medical Center is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Infectious Disease physician to join the Bernard & Millie Duker Children"s Hospital faculty. The position is full-time, with appointment at Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level based on experience.

Responsibilities include inpatient consults, outpatient HIV/PrEP care, teaching medical students and residents, research mentorship, and participation in antimicrobial stewardship, with collaboration across the

Qualifications

• MD or DO or equivalent degree.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship program.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
• Eligible for New York State medical license.
• Commitment to clinical excellence, education, and academic medicine.
• Interest in research, program development, advocacy, or stewardship initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient pediatric infectious disease consultation services.
• Deliver outpatient Infectious Disease and HIV/PrEP clinical care.
• Participate in shared night and weekend home call coverage.
• Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and other learners.
• Mentor trainees in clinical research and scholarly activities.
• Contribute to antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention, advocacy, and program development initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the Children's Hospital.
