Job summary

The University of Kansas Medical Center in Wichita, KS, seeks a full-time Pediatric Hematology/Oncology physician to join an established team affiliated with Wesley Children’s Hospital. Candidates should be MD/DO, board certified or eligible, with interest in hematology and oncology within an academic program.

The role integrates with inpatient teams, residents, and medical students, with a comprehensive team including pharmacists, social workers, and infusion nurses.

Qualifications

• Education: MD or DO degree or foreign degree equivalent.
• Licenses/Certifications: Board eligible or certified in Pediatrics.
• Licenses/Certifications: Board eligible or certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for outpatient infants, children, and adolescents.
• Provide consults on inpatient infants, children and adolescents with hospitalists and critical care teams.
• Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists to provide integrated care across multiple specialties.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety activities to improve outcomes.
• Maintain board certification in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology.
• Seek opportunities for collaboration with hospital partners.
