Job summary

Albany Medical College's Department of Anesthesiology seeks fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologists to join a team of six faculty in the Capital Region's only academic medical center. You will provide perioperative care for a wide range of surgeries, teach residents and medical students, and engage in clinical research while collaborating with surgeons and perioperative staff.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency.
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology (required).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Deliver didactic and hands-on instruction for residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists.
• Participate in or initiate clinical research projects; scholarly activity is supported and encouraged.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other perioperative team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide guidance and support for trainees and junior faculty in professional and academic growth.
