Job summary

The Medicus Firm Academic Search is seeking a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist for a Florida academic medical center to join its faculty. This role blends broad medical and surgical practice with resident teaching and a predictable schedule that supports life outside the hospital.

Faculty appointments at all levels, 4.5 clinical days plus an OR day, and integrated clinic, ASC, and hospital ORs. Mentorship from senior faculty and an open Medical Director role, with health benefits, retirement, CME

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and board eligibility or certification.
• Eligible for Florida medical licensure.
• Interest in teaching and a long-term academic career.

Responsibilities

• Faculty appointment at all academic levels, with graduating residents welcome.
• Broad comprehensive practice balancing patient care with teaching.
• 4.5 clinical days with protected administrative time and a dedicated OR day each week.
• About three weeks of trauma call per year, with residents taking first call.
• Residents and fellows integrated into your own clinic and OR.
• Clinic, ASC, and hospital ORs located at a single site.
• Senior-faculty mentorship and an open Medical Director role.
