Job summary

American Academy of Ophthalmology in South Florida is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Ophthalmologist to join a premier solo practice with a clear partnership track, clinical autonomy, and financial security.

The role includes comprehensive eye care, anterior segment surgery including cataract and premium IOLs, collaboration with optometrists and subspecialists, and a strong benefits package with 401(k), CME allowances, PTO, and malpractice coverage.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by ABO.
  • Active Florida Medical License (or eligible for licensure in Florida).

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical and surgical eye care to a diverse patient population.
  • Perform anterior segment surgery, including cataract surgery and premium IOL implantation.
  • Diagnose and manage glaucoma, dry eye disease, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and acute eye care.
  • Collaborate with co-managing optometrists, primary care physicians, and subspecialists.

A premier, well-established solo ophthalmic practice in sunny South Florida is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Ophthalmologist to join our team. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical and surgical eye care to a diverse patient population.
  • Perform anterior segment surgery, including routine and complex cataract surgery, premium IOL implantation, and laser procedures.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of ocular conditions, including glaucoma, dry eye disease, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and acute eye care.
  • Collaborate effectively with co‑managing optometrists, primary care physicians, and subspecialists.
