Job summary

The George Washington University Capital Medical Group in Washington, DC seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join its academic ophthalmology program. You will provide high‑quality clinical care, perform cataract surgery, and teach residents and medical students.

This role offers a balanced mix of patient care, teaching, and potential leadership opportunities within GW Hospital and GW Capital Medical Group, with an Epic EMR and a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology
• Eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia
• Experience and interest in academic settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive ophthalmology care including complex cataract surgeries to a diverse patient population
• Educate medical students and ophthalmology residents through didactics and clinical/surgical encounters
• Contribute to the coverage of the GW Hospital Emergency Department. This call is shared with the other members and paid per night.
