Job summary

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks an Academic Neuropathologist for a tenure-track/tenured, variable, or fixed-term position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. FTE 0.5–1.0.

Responsibilities include diagnostic surgical neuropathology, autopsy neuropathology and ophthalmologic pathology with a potential second subspecialty and teaching duties.

Qualifications

• MD/Medical Doctorate required.
• Board certification in Anatomic Pathology and Neuropathology or eligible.
• North Carolina medical license eligibility (or license).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic surgical neuropathology, autopsy neuropathology and ophthalmologic pathology.
• Contribute to teaching and training of residents, fellows, medical students, and graduate students.
• Possible subspecialty interests in surgical pathology, autopsy, or research.
