Job summary

UW Medicine's Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor (without tenure) in the Clinician-Scholar Pathway, starting July 1, 2026.

The successful candidate will develop a clinical practice across UW Medical Center – Montlake and Harborview, participate in teaching of students and trainees, and engage in scholarly activity in outcomes-based research.

Qualifications

• MD degree required and eligible for Washington medical license.
• Board certification or eligibility in Neurological Surgery.
• USMLE steps completed or equivalent for visa sponsorship eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a clinical practice focused on surgical management of complex neurological disorders.
• Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows; engage in scholarly activities.
