Albany Medical College's Department of Medicine seeks a full-time Academic Nephrologist (Assistant or Associate Professor) to join the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. The role offers the full scope of nephrology practice in a collaborative, academically rich environment.

The successful candidate will provide inpatient consults and teaching, participate in renal transplant services, care for outpatient dialysis patients, and contribute to research and medical education across trainees.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent with board certification or eligibility in Nephrology.
• Clinical nephrology subspecialty expertise.
• Commitment to medical education and mentorship.
• Interest or experience in clinical research is highly desirable.
• Eligibility for faculty appointment at Assistant or Associate Professor level.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State.
• Dedication to high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient consult and teaching services.
• Participation in renal transplant services.
• Outpatient hemodialysis patient care.
• Hypertension referral clinic.
• Comprehensive chronic kidney disease outpatient program.
