Albany Medical College in New York's Capital Region seeks a full-time Academic Nephrologist (Assistant or Associate Professor) to join the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. The position offers the opportunity to practice the full scope of nephrology in a collaborative, academically rich environment.

Responsibilities include inpatient consults and teaching, participation in renal transplant services, outpatient hemodialysis care, hypertension clinic, and CKD outpatient programs, with

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Nephrology.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in nephrology subspecialty care.
• Strong commitment to medical education and mentorship.
• Interest or experience in clinical research is highly desirable.
• Eligibility for faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State.
• Dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient consult and teaching services.
• Participation in renal transplant services.
• Outpatient hemodialysis patient care.
• Hypertension referral clinic.
• Comprehensive chronic kidney disease outpatient program.
