University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a full-time academic minimally invasive bariatric/foregut and hernia surgeon to join the Division of Gastrointestinal Surgery. The role includes clinical care, education of students and residents, and participation in research across multiple missions.

Ideal candidates will be board certified/eligible in General Surgery, with a minimally invasive fellowship; robotic experience is preferred, and NC license or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• Completion of a minimally invasive fellowship is required.
• North Carolina Medical License or eligible for application.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care for bariatric/foregut and hernia patients.
• Educate medical students, residents, and fellows as part of the education mission.
• Participate in research activities across clinical, outcomes, health services, or translational domains.
