Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to join our established academic outpatient practice. This role combines comprehensive primary care with teaching and mentorship of Internal Medicine residents and medical students.

The position emphasizes patient-centered care in a collaborative, academic environment with opportunities for scholarly activity and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the state of practice.
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care and medical education.
• Comfortable managing a broad spectrum of primary care conditions and prescribing controlled substances, including opioids, benzodiazepines and stimulants.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and academic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide year-round teaching and supervision of Internal Medicine residents and medical students.
• Participate in outpatient precepting and educational activities.
• Mentor learners in clinical practice and professional development.
• Quality improvement initiatives and scholarly projects involving residents and students are encouraged.
• Shared inpatient call rotation of approximately 1 in 6 weekends.
• Weekend coverage includes home call Friday evening and inpatient rounding Saturday/Sunday mornings.
