Job summary

AdventHealth Medical Group Sebring FL is seeking an experienced internal medicine physician to join our outpatient faculty near the residency program. The role focuses on mentoring residents, teaching, and delivering full‑spectrum internal medicine in a community hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will hold MD or DO, be Board‑Certified, have Florida licensure, DEA registration, and a track record in teaching and clinical care.

Internal Medicine Physician Employment In Florida

AdventHealth Medical Group Sebring FL is seeking an experienced, core internal medicine outpatient faculty physician for our internal medicine residency program. The program began in 2022 and will host 24 residents (8‑8‑8). It is a community‑based program located in Sebring, Florida and is part of the AdventHealth Graduate Medical Education network, which offers residency and fellowship programs nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentoring, teaching, and supervision of faculty, residents, and students in the internal medicine program.
• Assist the program director in mentoring and evaluating the clinical and teaching effectiveness of the internal medicine residents and program.
• Practice and teach full‑spectrum internal medicine.
• Deliver didactics and assist in leading curriculum development.
• Interview and recruit faculty for the clinic, maintain adequate physician staffing at the clinical site, review yearly faculty goals, provide direct clinical care to patients, teach internal medicine medical students and residents at the clinic location, and conduct research.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board‑Certified in Internal Medicine.
• Unrestricted Florida licensure or ability to obtain.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in internal medicine, with two years as a core faculty member in an ACGME‑accredited internal medicine residency program.
• DEA registration with full prescriptive authority.

• Commitment to teaching medical students and training the internal medicine physicians of tomorrow.
• Demonstrated administrative and scholarly activity.
