Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Medical Center in Austell, GA seeks a dedicated, board-certified Internal Medicine clinician-educator to join our outpatient GME core faculty. This full-time role emphasizes resident teaching, mentorship, curriculum development, and scholarly activity within a collaborative academic environment.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Internal Medicine; board-eligible candidates considered.
• Strong interest in medical education and resident development.
• Commitment to clinical excellence, collaboration, and patient-centered care.
• GME or academic teaching experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as outpatient core faculty in the GME Internal Medicine Clinic.
• Supervise, teach, evaluate, and mentor residents.
• Participate in the Clinical Competency Committee (CCC) and Program Evaluation Committee (PEC).
• Deliver didactic lectures and participate in conferences and clinical case discussions.
• Promote evidence-based medicine, professionalism, and high-quality patient care.
• Support resident wellness, professional development, and scholarly growth.
• Engage in curriculum development, quality improvement, and ongoing program advancement.
• Engage in scholarly activities, research, and professional development opportunities.
