The role focuses on clinical teaching across primary care, population health, and value-based care, with emphasis on social determinants of health and equity-centered decision making. Mentorship in quality improvement and research is expected.

Qualifications

• Active TX Medical License or willing to obtain.
• Experience in medical education, health equity, population health, or value-based care (highly preferred).
• Completion of an ACGME or AMA-approved residency program.

Responsibilities

• Faculty for the Internal Medicine Health Equity Track.
• Supervise Internal Medicine residents.
• Clinical teaching in Primary care, Population health, Value-based care, Health equity-focused practice.
• Teach residents to integrate social determinants of health and equity-centered clinical decision making.
• Participate in journal clubs, lecture series, case conferences, resident workshop.
• Mentor residents in quality improvement initiatives, health equity research, and scholarly activities.
• Collaborate with residency and program leadership to develop and improve curriculum.
• Provide formative and summative feedback to residents to support professional growth.
