Job summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Lebanon, NH seeks an outpatient Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join a robust Internal Medicine APP/MD team. The role offers an academic appointment with Geisel School of Medicine and a focus on top-of-license practice in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities include primary care across adult internal medicine, teaching and mentoring learners, and participating in conferences and rounds.

Qualifications

• APRN licensure in NH (and VT within 6 months) with a Master’s of Nursing.
• Current NH PA licensure and VT within 6 months with PA program degree.
• NCCPA certification.
• Eligible for Federal DEA registration.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 3 years primary care experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong communication.
• Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered care.
• Preferred: Doctorate degree.
• Preferred: 5 years primary care experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain comprehensive or focused history and physical examination.
• Determine, order and interpret appropriate screening and diagnostic studies.
• Obtain informed consent for treatment and diagnostic procedures.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on findings.
• Prescribe medications within scope of practice.
• Initiate referrals to other providers as necessary.
• Provide preceptor/mentorship for APPs and learners.
• Maintain current licensure and DEA registration.
• Attend continuing education for professional growth.
• Perform other duties as required.
