Job summary

University of Michigan is seeking a Coordinator of Academic Integrity in the Office of Student Academic Affairs within the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA). The role focuses on adjudicating cases of academic misconduct and promoting a culture of integrity among students, staff, and faculty.

You will partner with the Director and Associate Director of Student Academic Affairs to develop and implement programming that increases awareness of academic integrity across the LSA

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a liberal arts discipline, higher education, student affairs, or related field.
• At least three years of experience in student services/affairs, academic advising, student conduct, or related area within a college or university setting.
• Knowledge of current research, emerging issues and best practices related to academic integrity, with the ability to synthesize and effectively communicate this information to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated sound judgment, discretion and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
• Experience working effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and identities.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team environment and across institutional units.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive respectful and productive working relationships with students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate cases of academic misconduct and violations of LSA's Community Standards of Academic Integrity.
• Work with the Director and Associate Director of Student Academic Affairs to develop programming to promote academic integrity.
• Serve as a primary resource for students, faculty, and staff seeking guidance on academic integrity issues.
• Build programming that targets both students and faculty to promote a culture of integrity within LSA.
• Cultivate relationships across the university related to student support and academic integrity.
• Coordinate the academic misconduct process and review and initiate changes to policies and procedures.
