Serrato Corporation in McKinney, TX seeks an instructor to deliver Reading, Mathematics, Workplace Communications, Employability Skills, Health Education, Driver's Education, and HSD/HSE instruction at the Center.

You will foster a positive classroom climate, maintain discipline, coordinate curriculum with career tech instructors, and document student progress for evaluation and certification.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
• Computer literacy with basic features, email, internet, and programs such as Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong knowledge of instruction subject areas and teaching practices.
• High level of communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• High ability to motivate, inspire, and educate students effectively.

Responsibilities

• Performs as an instructor in a regular classroom, presenting instruction in Reading, Mathematics, Workplace Communications, CSS, Health Education, Driver's Education, or HSD/HSE.
• Promotes a positive classroom atmosphere and maximizes student motivation.
• Maintains discipline to ensure maximum learning and establishes rapport with students.
• Coordinates curriculum development with career tech instructors.
• Maintains students' personal folders, records attendance and test scores, and participates in student evaluations.
• Assists with graduation exercises and adheres to center policies and safety practices.
