Job summary

The University of South Florida in Tampa seeks an Open Rank Advanced Imaging Cardiologist for a full-time, 12-month faculty appointment with attending privileges at TGH and affiliated hospitals.

Responsibilities include inpatient cardiology consults, non-invasive imaging, reading EKGs and stress tests, and mentoring medical students, residents and fellows. Opportunities for leadership, teaching and clinical research are available.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution with demonstrated teaching and research.
• Board certified/board eligible in cardiovascular disease; eligible for Florida license.
• Preference for Level II echocardiography certification; experience with structural heart programs.

Responsibilities

• CLINICAL: Inpatient general cardiology consults, non-invasive imaging, reading EKGs and stress tests; teach and mentor learners.
• ADMINISTRATIVE: Oversee imaging services, ensure quality and safety, coordinate with related departments.
• Develop treatment and disease-management plans; participate in teaching residents, fellows, and students.
