Banner University Medical Center Phoenix seeks a Medical Director for the Medical Intensive Care Unit and Critical Care Physician Advisor. The role combines leadership, clinical oversight and academic innovation within a premier teaching hospital affiliated with Banner Health and the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix.

The candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee ICU operations, advance evidence-based protocols, and drive educational programs for Pulmonary, Critical

Qualifications

• Current ABIM certification in Critical Care Medicine.
• 5 years of progressive leadership experience with direct patient care.
• Academic productivity with publications and quality/clinical research.
• Experience leading teams in evidence-based critical care protocols.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medical ICU physician and nurse practitioner team.
• Lead quality improvement, guideline implementation, and ICU leadership committees.
• Foster undergraduate and graduate education for Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Fellowships.
• Ensure ongoing CME for ICU physicians, nurses and staff.
• Support clinical investigations, publications and trials in the ICU.
• Implement Leapfrog, TJC, and CMS initiatives as appropriate.
• Provide regular performance reports to Banner/University leadership.
