Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Phoenix is seeking BC/BE academic hospitalists to join our Division of Hospital Medicine in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona. This role offers teaching responsibilities for Internal Medicine and Med/Peds residents and medical students from the University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix.

An optional 0.25 FTE leadership path as Associate Program Director for Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, and Scholarly Activity is available within the Internal Medicine

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Experienced Academic Hospitalist or 4th year Chief Resident.
• Experience managing high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for academic work, including teaching, quality improvement, and innovation.
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within healthcare.
• Spanish language proficiency (assets).
• Leadership experience or a proven record as a clinician-educator.
• Experience working with advanced practice providers.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and guide Internal Medicine and Med/Peds residents and medical students.
• Contribute to quality improvement and scholarly activity within the residency program.
• Collaborate with the University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix on teaching and program development.
