Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Birmingham, Alabama, seeks a full-time Hematologist/Oncologist to join its team. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide clinical care, teach fellows in the UAB Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program, and shape oncology services for Veterans.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or meet VA recruitment policies.
• Must have completed an approved residency program in a relevant field.
• Must have a full and unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
• Board certification or eligibility in oncology and/or hematology is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in hematology/oncology.
• Serve as core faculty for UAB Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program.
• Participate in clinical trials program development.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams during consultations.
