Job summary

UTMB Health in Galveston, TX invites an advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist to join its growing Department of Cardiovascular Medicine. The position offers inpatient and outpatient duties, potential start-up research support, and protected time for scholarly work, with rank at Assistant or higher and opportunities across the SHVI.

Board certified or eligible in ABIM, completion of a structured heart failure fellowship, and Texas licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible in ABIM.
• Structured heart failure fellowship completed.
• Texas medical license or eligible to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient clinical duties in a growing practice.
• Contribute to the Heart Transplant and VAD program.
• Collaborate with department colleagues and fellows on clinical research.
• Possibly start-up research and dedicated protected time for scholarly activity.
