Job summary

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley is seeking a Recruiter for Health Affairs in Edinburg, TX. You will plan and execute recruitment initiatives, work with department managers, and source candidates through multiple channels to build a diverse applicant pool.

You will negotiate offers, coordinate with departments, and ensure a smooth candidate journey from first contact to onboarding, contributing to the division’s strategic recruitment goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Three (3) years of professional recruitment and/or sales experience.
• Experience in an academic medical center, health system, hospital or pharma is preferred.
• Strong communication, time management and closing skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs recruitment services to deliver quality candidates for the institution, including initial strategy meetings with department managers to discuss recruitment needs and strategies.
• Assists search committees to recruit internal and external candidates by sourcing positions in print media, websites, direct mailings, and other sourcing activities.
• Maintains strong relationships with division and departmental leadership to align with the division’s direction.
• Attends job fairs, meetings, seminars, workshops, and conferences as requested.
• Develops tracking mechanisms and statistics to support short and mid-range plans and budget requirements.
• Oversees the recruitment candidate experience from first contact through onboarding.
