Job summary

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking a board‑certified or eligible hand fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon with a focus on upper extremity reconstruction and microvascular free tissue transfer.

The position is based at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (Level 1) and Washington Hospital in Fremont (Level 2) with a pathway to Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor ranks.

Qualifications

• Valid California medical license to practice in California.
• MD or DO degree from an accredited program.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopaedic Residency.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Hand Fellowship.
• Board certification or eligibility in Orthopaedic Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in investigative work that leads to peer‑reviewed publications.
• Participate in didactic and bedside teaching for medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Provide diagnostic and interventional management for adult MSK injuries with emphasis on trauma reconstruction.
