Job summary

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Albany Medical College in Albany, NY is seeking an AP or AP/CP board-certified pathologist to participate in clinical services of Gynecological and/or Genitourinary pathology in an academic setting. Fellowship training in respective field is desirable, but not required, preferably with a second area of interest in AP.

Responsibilities include sign-out of GYN and/or GU pathology, shared AP call and non-forensic autopsy coverage, and teaching

Qualifications

• Board-certified in AP or AP/CP.
• Fellowship training in Gynecologic and/or Genitourinary pathology desirable but not required.
• Second area of interest in AP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sign out GYN and/or GU pathology cases.
• Shared AP call and non-forensic autopsy coverage (average <4 autopsies/pathologist/year).
• Teach residents and medical students; participate in conferences and translational research as aligned with department needs.
