Job summary

Albany Medical College in Albany, NY seeks an AP or AP/CP board-certified pathologist to contribute to Gynecological and/or Genitourinary pathology services in an academic setting. Fellowship training in the respective field is desirable, preferably with a second area of interest in AP.

The department emphasizes collegial growth, wellness, and protected time for professional development, with mentorship and teaching duties for residents and students.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in AP or AP/CP with specialty focus in Gynecologic and/or Genitourinary pathology.
• Fellowship training in respective field is desirable, preferably with a second area of AP.
• Academic setting experience and collaboration with residents and students.

Responsibilities

• Sign out GYN and/or GU pathology.
• Share AP call and non-forensic autopsy coverage (average <4 autopsies per pathologist per year).
• Teach residents, medical students and visiting observers through sign-outs, lectures and conferences.
• Engage in translational research and support resident presentations.
