Job summary

The Gastroenterology Section of the Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVAHCS) invites board-certified/eligible candidates with hepatology interest and transplant experience to apply. Qualifications

• Board certified/eligible in Gastroenterology with hepatology interest preferred
• Transplant experience desired
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient and inpatient GI consultation and procedures
• Perform endoscopic procedures (colonoscopy, EGD, capsule endoscopy) and related interventions
• Participate in teaching and mentoring of residents, fellows, and medical students
• Collaborate with hepatology and transplant teams; participate in tumor board if applicable
• Engage in academic activities at the University of Minnesota and MVAMC Minneapolis
• Manage call coverage as part of GI section; contribute to research and education efforts
