About the Job

The University of Minnesota, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition located in Minneapolis is seeking a Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist to become an integral team member within an academic division that is dedicated to cutting-edge and patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will have an interest in continuing the development of our hepatology and transplant hepatology programs.

Opportunity Highlights

  • Outpatient liver clinics in the state-of-the-art facility at M Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center in Minneapolis.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship training programs.
  • Board certified in internal medicine and board certified/board eligible in Gastroenterology.
  • Advanced training in hepatology and clinical experience in hepatology and/or transplant hepatology is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated excellence in patient care, enthusiasm for medical education, and strong teaching skills.
  • Licensed or ability to obtain medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
  • Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.
  • This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Applicants should also complete an application for this position with the University of Minnesota Physicians.
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: Salary at the University of Minnesota is dependent upon academic effort of the person hired, and begins at $55,000. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total salary is competitive with the market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.

Time Appointment: 75%-100% Appointment
