Job summary

University of Toledo is seeking a General Urologist within the Department of Urology. The position blends clinical care with education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and supports scholarly activities aligned with the department's goals.

The role includes outpatient and inpatient care, opportunities for research, and potential involvement at satellite locations, with a focus on patient-centered care and professional development.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Urology Residency Program or equivalent training meeting board certification and licensure eligibility.
• ECFMG certification, if applicable.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology.
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of general urologic conditions.
• Perform outpatient and inpatient consultations.
• Perform office-based procedures and surgical interventions (endoscopic, laparoscopic, open, robotic-assisted as appropriate).
• Share in OR coverage and inpatient rounding.
• Maintain documentation in the EMR and meet quality and safety standards.
• Educate and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows; participate in conferences and mentorship.
• Contribute to clinical research, quality improvement, and scholarly activities.
