ECU Health Physicians in Greenville, NC is seeking a General Surgeon with advanced training in Hernia and Complex Abdominal Wall Reconstruction to join the Division of General and Specialty Surgery. Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery is expected.

The role includes academic responsibilities, teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, and collaboration in a growing program with a regional reach, including a Hernia Center of Excellence initiative.

• Engage in teaching, research, and scholarly activities within the Division of General and Specialty Surgery.

ECU Health Physicians and East Carolina University’s Department of Surgery, located in Greenville, North Carolina, are seeking a General Surgeon with advanced training and expertise in Hernia and Complex Abdominal Wall Reconstruction to join the Division of General and Specialty Surgery. Applicants should be Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.

The Department of Surgery has a general surgery residency program with six categorical residents in each year who are competitively prepared for fellowships, academic positions, and direct entry into private practice. The Brody School of Medicine matriculates 92 students each year and is approved for class size expansion to 120 students per year upon completion of the new medical education building in August 2027.
