ECU Health Physicians in Greenville, NC is seeking a General Surgeon with advanced training in Hernia and Complex Abdominal Wall Reconstruction to join the Division of General and Specialty Surgery. Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery is expected.

The role includes academic responsibilities, teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, and collaboration in a growing program with a regional reach, including a Hernia Center of Excellence initiative.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• Advanced training and expertise in Hernia and Complex Abdominal Wall Reconstruction.
• Academic responsibilities include mentorship and teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and specialized surgical care within ECU Health Physicians.
• Contribute to patient management, including operative planning and post-operative care.
• Participate in establishing a Hernia Center of Excellence Program serving Eastern North Carolina and beyond.
• Engage in teaching, research, and scholarly activities within the Division of General and Specialty Surgery.
