Job summary

Southern Arizona VA Health Care System in Tucson seeks a full-time gastroenterologist to join the GI division. The role emphasizes clinical care, teaching responsibilities with residents and fellows, and opportunities for research.

The incumbent will participate in endoscopy procedures, contribute to academic activities with the University of Arizona and support telehealth services as part of patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited school.
• Board certification in gastroenterology preferred or recently board eligible.
• Proficiency in endoscopy procedures expected.
• Interest in teaching and academic collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide gastroenterology clinical care in an outpatient and inpatient setting.
• Participate in teaching medical students, residents and fellows from University of Arizona.
• Collaborate with GI team on advanced endoscopy where applicable.
• Engage in quality improvement and research activities.
