Job summary

Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Family Medicine, based at the South Hillsboro clinic, seeks a board-certified/eligible physician to provide full-spectrum family medicine care. The role includes OB care if desired, teaching residents and students, and collaboration with OHSU and Hillsboro Medical Center staff.

The appointee will document diligently in the electronic health record and participate in administrative duties, scholarly activities, and potential inpatient duties.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (Licensed in Oregon).
• MD/DO with successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency.
• Capable of providing comprehensive health services.
• Certified to prescribe all classes of DEA-approved medications.
• Approved staff privileges at OHSU University Hospital, OHSU Hillsboro Medical Center Hospital and partner community hospitals.
• Strongly preferred but not required: obstetrical/maternity training including OB management, sonography, and family planning; vasectomy experience.
• Multilingual (Not Required).

Responsibilities

• Provide full spectrum family medicine care, including OB care strongly preferred but not required.
• Collaborate with full- and part-time faculty to maintain an active practice.
• Document using electronic health records and maintain timely patient care documentation.
• Participate in teaching activities including resident and student precepting and didactics.
• May include inpatient care with call duties shared with inpatient call group.
• See patients in clinic eight half days per week, with two half days for admin/scholarship duties.
• Engage in continuing education and faculty development to advance the clinical and academic operation.
