Job summary

Albany Medical College seeks an Academic Endocrinologist to join the Division of Endocrinology. The role combines clinical care, research, and teaching within a comprehensive endocrine practice and offers a path to leadership, including heading our Transgender Program.

The successful candidate will provide expert endocrine care, contribute to education of students and trainees, and collaborate across departments to advance transgender healthcare and scholarly activity.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent with board certification in Endocrinology.
• Strong interest or background in transgender healthcare and leadership.
• Experience in teaching and medical education.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical care in general endocrinology with opportunities to specialize (diabetes, thyroid disorders, reproductive endocrinology).
• Lead and develop the Transgender Program with hormone therapy management and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Engage in cross-department collaboration to integrate transgender healthcare into broader practice.
• Participate in academic conferences and scholarly activities.
