Job summary

The West Virginia University Health System seeks a Medical Director for HealthNet Aeromedical Services. The role splits 60% leadership for HealthNet and 40% clinical work in the J. W. Ruby emergency department, guiding air, ground and 911 operations and quality initiatives.

The successful candidate will be an MD/DO with EM board certification, EMS fellowship, and a track record in leadership, education, and program development within academic medicine.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or foreign equivalent and eligible for state medical licenses in all states served.
• Emergency Medicine residency completed; ABMS board certified in EM.
• Fellowship in Emergency Medical Services; EMS subspecialty board certified/eligible.

Responsibilities

• Oversee air, ground and 911 response operations for HealthNet Aeromedical Services.
• Provide educational programs and quality assurance initiatives.
• Coordinate with Associate Medical Directors and clinical leaders.
• Contribute to academic mission within the Department of Emergency Medicine and EMS division.
